Job Overview
An ICT project manager is involved with an information technology or communications project from
the planning stages through to the implementation of a solution. The manager assigns tasks,
develops a timeline, and sets the budget for the project. He/ She will be accountable for day-to-day
operations of resourcing, scheduling, prioritization and task coordination, and meeting project
milestones, objectives and deliverables within agreed timeframes and budgets.

Main Job-responsibilities
• Create project specifications. Define the workplan, duration, deliverables, resources and
procedures a project must follow to achieve its goals. Describe project goals, outcomes, results
and implementation scenarios and track progress;
• Manage budgets Conduct cost estimates and budget planning. Monitor the budget, as well as
costs and expenses. Forecast the budget development continuously;
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Ensure resource availability and allocation;
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within the scope and within budget;
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and
ensuring technical feasibility;
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs;
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques;
• Internal & external Project Reporting (On time / In budget / PnL);
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders;
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation;
• Oversee and manage all aspects of ICT project phases including proactive management of project
risks and issues.

Required skills
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering;
• Excellent information technology and necessary for ICT project managers;
• Proven working experience of at least 5 years as a Project Manager in the ICT sector;
• Have demonstrated project management skills in complex ICT projects;
• Display understanding and effective use of best practice project management disciplines;
• Employ effective communication skills including the ability to develop strong relationships and
inspire trust amongst colleagues;
• Have a solid IT technical background which demonstrates a good understanding of IT
technologies;
• Have the ability to translate ‘techtalk’ into plain English;
• Have excellent skills in managing resources and ensuring that deliverables are met within budget
and on time;
• Display strong customer empathy and the ability to translate this into effective strategies;
• Have ability to negotiate, persuade, motivate and broker consensus;
• Be results oriented;
• Have ability to present and report on complex information in a simple manner;
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and MS Project or similar tool creating project plan/Gant
charts;
• Excellent command of the English language (both verbal & written).

• Domain knowledge in ERP, CRM (e.g. Entersoft Business Suite).
